"As the Prophets beheld, as the Apostles have taught, as the Church has received, as the Teachers have dogmatized, as the Universe has agreed, as Grace has shown forth, as Truth has revealed, as false-hood has been dissolved, as Wisdom has presented, as Christ has awarded, let us declare, let us assert, let us preach in like manner Christ our true God and honor His Saints in words, in writings in thoughts, in deeds, in churches, in holy icons — worshiping Him as God and Lord and honoring them as His true servants.

This is the Faith of the Apostles! This is the Faith of our Fathers! This is the Faith of the Orthodox! This is the Faith which has established the universe!"

From the Acclamation of the Seventh Ecumenical Council at Nicea 787AD

Our Vision

Our Goals in Christian Education

Spiritual growth Our educational programs are an opportunity for youth to meet God, to learn about His Love, His Law and His Church, and to build relationships with their peers for much needed support facing today's challenges at home, in school, and eventually the workplace. We gladly yet humbly accept the role to teach students about the Faith in a loving environment so that they may hear and understand. But our programs and mentoring does not provide all of the training that a child needs. We strive to walk with you and pray with you in the journey to raise your child in the fear of the Lord. We strive to continually grow and learn together in love and peace.

We believe that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17

We believe that faith without works is dead. James 2:14-26

We believe that children are a gift from God. Psalm 127:3

We believe it is the parents' God-given responsibility to raise their children in fear of the Lord. Deuteronomy 11

We believe that in following Christ's example, we are servants and the light of the world. Phillipians 2

We believe in the truth of the Orthodox Faith, as handed down to us by our fathers and we desire to share this with the upcoming generation.

Psalm 78:4 We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has                            done.

Luke 1:50 And His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation.

We believe that the Faith is clearly defined in the Nicene Creed. See this link.

We believe that Love is the greatest commandment.

       Matthew 22:36-40
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest                    commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as              yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two                  commandments.”

We believe man is made in the image of God.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

We believe that as Christians, we are the body of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ and each one of you is a part of it.

We believe in building community with compassion and humility, submitting our lives to God. James 4

Colossians 3:12-17 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God...

We believe that we are each given talents to use wisely.  Matthew 25:14-30

We believe we must give an account of ourselves to God. Romans 14:12

2 Cor. 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
