Grow and Serve

How can I become involved?
There are many ways to become involved at Saint John’s and to serve within the church and the community!  One great way to participate and develop in your faith is by joining in the choir.  More voices are always welcome, plus singing in the choir is a great way to broaden your understanding of the Liturgy and the Orthodox Faith. Various service projects become available from time to time as well, and can be a great way to reach out to other Church members and the community. Volunteer opportunities are available for grounds keeping, preparing and serving food at coffee hour and special events, and helping with the newsletter. Sunday School ministries can be a place to volunteer throughout the year, Vacation Church School in the summer, and other activities for the youth might be opportunities for you to share your gifts. Beyond our neighborhoods, we also reach out by supporting worldwide missions and charities.
